Since the opening weekend of Justice League’s release in theaters the movie has divided fans in ways that was not expected and now with the blu-ray details being announced it will almost continue.
Warner Brothers announcement on Thursday of the Justice League release to home video most likely left some fans very disappointed when they read that there will be no directors cut of the movie. Some fans after seeing Justice League were demanding that Warner Brothers release a Zack Snyder cut of the movie even creating online petitions to try and force Warner Brothers to do so.
If it seemed unlikely before then Thursday’s blu-ray announcement pretty much squashes any chance of it happening, not to mention the cost Warner Brothers would have to incur to even make it possible seems highly improbable.
Personally I found Justice League to be a passable movie as it entertained me and I really didn’t notice the whole Cavill/Superman mustache issue that some complained about with the CGI. Could it have been a better movie? Yes of course, but in the end as fans sometimes we have to accept what Hollywood gives us whether we like it or not.
Something else that’s missing from the Justice League blu-ray is the lack of a director’s commentary for the movie. Granted not all movies come with one, but it is also not surprising since Whedon took over for Snyder.
